When I decided to embrace my natural gray/white hair, I began using the purple shampoo recommended by my hair stylist. After a while, I noticed that my scalp was frequently itchy. Rather than buying an additional product to deal with an irritated scalp, I decided to try a different shampoo. After using the Vibrant + Violet Purple Perfecting Shampoo one time, my scalp was less irritated. This shampoo meets my needs, and my hair looks & feels great!
I really hoped this shampoo and conditioner would help my hair look better. At first it was great but once I shook the shampoo container my hair turned knotty with dryness. I just ordered from a custom shampoo conditioner company to hopefully find a nontoxic shampoo conditioner that works. These products contain a forever chemical sodium benzoate; if you research a truthful resource it is better to preserve with vitamin E and not a chemical. Ugh 😑

In the interest of sticking to the facts here in the comments section, I do want to clarify that the sodium benzoate that we use as part of the preservation system is actually an organic sodium salt that is used in food preservation and as a pickling agent. The trendy term 'forever chemical' applies to PCB's and other leaching agents from plastics that pollute the environment. I must also set the record straight on your reference to Vitamin E. It is absolutely not a full spectrum preservative for water based products-it acts as an antioxidant for plant based oils to keep them from turning rancid. It has zero effect on mold or bacterial growth which can happen in the presence of water. Proper preservation is absolutely critical.
I'm sorry you felt disappointed in the results of the shampoo. That is not the experience of the majority of our customers but it is true that everyone's hair is different. I wish you the best in finding the perfect match for your hair.

The Vibrant + Violet Purple Perfecting Shampoo and Conditioner do such a great job on my natural gray/white hair, I only use the Violet Booster on an occasional basis. It gives my hair that extra brightness and wow factor!
I spray the Hydrating Mist on my wet hair before using my hairdryer. In combination with the Lavender Mint+Clover Silky Shampoo and Conditioner, it helps to keep my flyaway hair in check. Such a relief!

This is such a great product. I was searching for a clean beauty brand for a heat protectant that I liked for so long and this is the best I've tried. The smell is soooo amazing and it makes my hair feel incredible. So happy I found this!!!!
I’ve tried other natural heat protectants and this one is my favorite. My hair feels so nice after whereas with others it felt knotty and like residue was left.
This shampoo is gentle but doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy. It does have extra body, but not dried out. Gratefully no lasting horrible perfumes.
This purple shampoo and conditioner is wonderful. It does not make my hair look purple ever, (like others did), and my hair never looks brassy or yellow. Besides that it doesn't dry out, irritate or have some horrible perfume to it.
I like that the purple coloring seems to be sourced from natural ingredients. I have used the shampoo and conditioner a couple times and my hair is left soft and I hope to see the yellow tones in my long white hair begin to lessen.
I have dry skin the second winter arrives and this buttery thick cream is the only cream that actually hydrates my skin! A little goes a long way.

It took me a while to figure out that I seem to be sensitive to cocamidoproypl betaine/hydroxysultaine, and these surfactants are everywhere. My scalp is much happier since discontinuing products with these ingredients, and my hair is deeply clean, yet soft with the matching shampoo and this rich, yet lightweight conditioner. I plan to reorder these for a long time to come, though I may mix it up with the lavender + mint set, as I really love that smell. This one gives a bit more moisture to the hair though, which is great for me with a ton of wavy, yet fine and easily weighed down hair.

I love how this makes my hair feel, AND I love that it smells so natural. The previous heat protectant I used just smelled of poisonous chemicals, and I’m so glad I found this alternative. It’s expensive for sure, but it’s absolutely worth it.
