As we reflect on this past year, we’re filled with gratitude for the incredible journey we’ve shared with you. From exciting milestones to navigating unexpected challenges, here’s a look back at some highlights—and a sneak peek at what’s to come!

Celebrating Wins Big and Small

We kicked off the year with fantastic news: two of our products—Luminous Liquid and Effortless Enzyme—won Beauty Shortlist awards! This recognition means the world to us, especially as a small, artisan brand known primarily for our award-winning shampoos. Seeing our skincare receive such high praise was an exciting step forward.

Throughout the year, we connected with even more of you through partnered giveaways and subscription boxes, which was so rewarding. We also welcomed four new team members: Lilia and Avery joined us after the July Secret Sale, followed by Becca and Emma later in the year. Their enthusiasm and dedication have helped us continue to grow and flourish!

Behind-the-Scenes Challenges

Of course, every journey has its hurdles, and this year was no exception. After years of dealing with leaky shampoo pumps, we thought those challenges were behind us—only to face another curveball when our trusted pump manufacturer ran out of stock. The search for a perfect replacement was anything but easy!

To complicate things, our pouch-sealing machine decided to stop working properly, leading to leaky pouches. While we tackled these issues head-on, it meant some delays in the new product launches we had planned.

Despite these challenges, we successfully introduced our trio of botanical perfumes, and the first round of Patchouli Tangerine Botanical Perfume sold out quickly—a testament to your incredible support.

Recommitting to Sustainability

Amid the chaos, we remained steadfast in our commitment to sustainability. This year, we:

• Saved thousands of bottles from entering the recycling stream through our closed-loop packaging system.
• Returned tons of pouches to TerraCycle for proper recycling.

We’re committed to doing even more in the coming year to minimize waste and keep sustainability at the core of everything we do.

Looking Ahead

We’re starting the new year with a bang! First up is our much-anticipated Warehouse Sale, featuring all our mismatched shampoos and conditioners. These products are perfect on the inside but have packaging quirks that make them less than retail-ready. Keep an eye out for the sale launch in the next day or so!

Later this month, we’re thrilled to introduce several new products:

• Eyebright Orbital Serum: Featuring two types of hyaluronic acid, rosewater, rosehips, and eyebright to hydrate and plump the delicate eye area.
• Double Vitamin C Brightening Balm: A leveled-up version of Luminous Liquid to lock in hydration during the cold winter months.
• Honey + Hibiscus Complexion Ritual Mask: A skin-loving formula that’s been a hit as an add-on at the Steam Bar.

Keeping an Eye on the Horizon

As we plan for 2024, we’re mindful of potential challenges, including impending tariffs on key ingredients imported from Canada, Mexico, and China. From aloe powder to hyaluronic acid and even packaging materials, these changes could impact us, but we’re staying proactive to navigate them effectively.
