Flourish Beauty Lab began as my search for safe, effective solutions for sensitive skin — and has grown into Vermont’s largest refill store and a nationally recognized leader in clean beauty.

 

Hi, I’m Kirsten Connor, founder and formulator. For over 20 years, I’ve been creating products that balance performance with sensitivity. After living with multiple autoimmune conditions and years of unexplained rashes, scalp sensitivities, and skin reactions, I became a relentless student of ingredient safety and formulation. What I couldn’t find on the market — products that were both gentle and effective — I set out to create myself.

Today, Flourish is a line of refillable, award-winning haircare and skincare rooted in science, transparency, and care. Every formula is developed and poured in-house in our open lab in downtown White River Junction, Vermont — from sourcing botanicals to final production.

Lots of brands say they’re formulated for sensitive skin — but what does that actually mean?

For some, it means unscented and boring. For us, it means paying attention to the real triggers that cause irritation and reactions. That’s why you’ll never find common sensitizers like tea tree, eucalyptus, peppermint, cocamidopropyl betaine, phenoxyethanol, or disodium EDTA in our formulas. We’re also nut-free and gluten-free across our product line, because sensitive skin care should consider more than just fragrance.

We combine locally wildcrafted herbs and Vermont-grown botanicals with globally sourced, fair-trade, certified-organic ingredients — like olive squalane, jojoba, and precious berry fruit oils.

For lab-processed essentials like cleansers, preservatives, and emulsifiers, we use only EcoCert-approved ingredients chosen for safety, efficacy, and environmental responsibility.
