Purple shampoo created purely from plants. Violet hues work to neutralize yellow or brassy tones in blonde, silver, gray and white hair. Brighten your silver and highlight your blonde tones without harsh, chemically enhanced ultramarine violet.


This gentle formula enhances shine and luster without stripping hair or scalp. Effective+sudsy cleansing with a rosy + violet leaf scent and color from the juiciest berries, fruits + veggies. Smooths and strengthens hair while improving texture.

Designed for: blonde, silver, gray and white hair to tone yellow cast and make silver strands sparkle. Our violet color comes completely from plants for a gentle and gradual color experience.

Ingredient benefits:

    • Spirulina from blue-green algae is rich in protein, vitamins and minerals. The Phycocyanin variety has a naturally occurring, intense cyan blue color that is so important in a true violet color.

Organic purple shampoo to the rescue

When I decided to embrace my natural gray/white hair, I began using the purple shampoo recommended by my hair stylist. After a while, I noticed that my scalp was frequently itchy. Rather than buying an additional product to deal with an irritated scalp, I decided to try a different shampoo. After using the Vibrant + Violet Purple Perfecting Shampoo one time, my scalp was less irritated. This shampoo meets my needs, and my hair looks & feels great!

Disappointed

I really hoped this shampoo and conditioner would help my hair look better. At first it was great but once I shook the shampoo container my hair turned knotty with dryness. I just ordered from a custom shampoo conditioner company to hopefully find a nontoxic shampoo conditioner that works. These products contain a forever chemical sodium benzoate; if you research a truthful resource it is better to preserve with vitamin E and not a chemical. Ugh 😑

In the interest of sticking to the facts here in the comments section, I do want to clarify that the sodium benzoate that we use as part of the preservation system is actually an organic sodium salt that is used in food preservation and as a pickling agent. The trendy term 'forever chemical' applies to PCB's and other leaching agents from plastics that pollute the environment. I must also set the record straight on your reference to Vitamin E. It is absolutely not a full spectrum preservative for water based products-it acts as an antioxidant for plant based oils to keep them from turning rancid. It has zero effect on mold or bacterial growth which can happen in the presence of water. Proper preservation is absolutely critical.
I'm sorry you felt disappointed in the results of the shampoo. That is not the experience of the majority of our customers but it is true that everyone's hair is different. I wish you the best in finding the perfect match for your hair.

Vibrant Shampoo

I like that the purple coloring seems to be sourced from natural ingredients. I have used the shampoo and conditioner a couple times and my hair is left soft and I hope to see the yellow tones in my long white hair begin to lessen.
